Aziz Lewandowski ist ein deutscher Komponist, Cellist und Pianist. Er studierte Komposition an der UdK Berlin bei Daniel Ott und Iris ter Schiphorst. Ein besonderes Interesse an seiner Arbeit gilt den Schnittstellen von improvisierter und komponierter experimenteller Musik. Als Interpret seiner eigenen und anderer Kompositionen erkundet er die Möglichkeiten der verschiedenen Sphären.
Aziz Lewandowski is a German composer, cellist and pianist. He studied composition at the UdK Berlin with Daniel Ott and Iris ter Schiphorst. A particular interest in his work is the intersection of improvised and composed experimental music. As an interpreter of his own and other compositions, he explores the possibilities of the different spheres.
Lorena Izquierdo ist eine spanische Vokalkünstlerin, Performerin und Poetin. Sie hat einen Bachelorabschluss in Philosophie und Kunstgeschichte, ist ausgebildet in Butoh-Tanz und Kontaktimprovisation. Zudem hat sie Cello, Fotografie und Performance Art gelernt. Sie arbeitet für die Plattform Dialeg Obert, für die sie Workshops und Veranstaltungen organisiert.
Lorena Izquierdo is a Spanish vocal artist, performer and poet. She has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and art history, is trained in Butoh dance and contact improvisation. She has also studied cello, photography and performance art. She works for the Dialeg Obert platform, for which she organizes workshops and events.
Experimentelle Stimme
In diesem Workshop erkunden wir Aspekte des experimentellen Einsatzes von Stimme.
An Tag 1 konzentrieren wir uns auf voice action: Improvisation und Kreation im Zusammenspiel von Stimme und Performance Art. Die Stimme wird als Klangmaterie verstanden, die mit der Kraft von Gesten und Aktionen verbunden ist. Wir suchen nach der Intuition und den Grenzen, nach dem Unmöglichen. Wir gehen durch den Schrei, die Übertreibung, aber auch die Eindämmung und das Unsichtbare, all dies, um Widersprüche herauszuarbeiten und mit ihnen umzugehen.
An Tag 2 betrachten wir, was die Verbindung mit einem Instrument und Klangobjekten für die Art wie wir unsere Stimme benutzen bedeutet und wie wir daraus Anregungen für experimentelle Kompositionen gewinnen können.
Am 3. Tag werden gewonnene Erkenntnisse zusammengeführt und der Raum für Kollaborationen geöffnet – dabei werden Wege der Interaktion zwischen Teilnehmer:innen erschlossen, etwa in Duos, die abschließend präsentiert werden.
The Experimental Voice
In this workshop we explore aspects of the experimental use of voice
On day 1 we focus on voice action: improvisation and creation in the interplay of voice and performance art. Voice will be understood as sound matter connected to the power of gesture and action. We look for the intuition and the limits, for the impossible. We go through the scream, the exaggeration, but also the containment and the invisible, all this to elaborate and deal with contradictions.
On day 2, we look at what connecting with an instrument and sound objects means for the way we use our voice and how we can draw inspiration from this for experimental compositions.
The 3rd day will bring together insights and open the space for collaborations – ways of interaction between participants will be explored, for example in duos for example in duos, which will be presented at the end of the workshop. You will need comfortable clothing for moving and instruments and/or sound materials.
